To honor the memory of their valor and sacrifice, the Alexandria Police Foundation created a public accessible memorial honoring fallen officers dedicated in 2015.
The eighteen fallen officers memorialized are Constable Elijah Chenault, Watchman Gerrard Arnold, Officer Julian Arnold, Officer George Crump, Officer Walker Campbell, Sgt. Elton Hummer, Sgt. Charles McClary, Pvt. Whitfield Lipscombe, Pvt. August Perault Pierce, Cpl. Clarence McClary, Pvt. Robert Harris, Pvt. Bobby Padgett, Deputy Inspector James Baber, Pvt. Eugene Yoakum, Detective Conrad Lee Birney, Cpl. Charles William Hill, Officer Andrew Chelchowski and Sgt. Morton Ford.
Well over a hundred people and organizations contributed generously, enabling the Foundation to build this remarkable and lasting legacy to those who sacrificed everything in the line of duty. Please visit the memorial at Alexandria Police Headquarters, 3600 Wheeler Avenue at your convenience. Donors are recognized and appreciated on a beautiful wall on the Memorial grounds.
The Alexandria Police Suicide Memorial is dedicated to Jason Kline and Steven Pagach IV. The memorial is a reminder and a remembrance to those in uniform that there is light amidst darkness.
